Sen. Reid starts campaign early

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) is already interviewing campaign managers and raising funds for his 2010 re-election bid. Right now Republicans have no strong candidate to challenge him, but they'd definitely pour resources into this fight in an attempt to unseat Reid. Nevada voted for Bush in 2000 and 2004, but went Obama's way by 12 points in 2008. It's a state that has seen a good surge in Democratic voter registrations. If the Republicans want to put up a good fight, they'd better deploy field resources to increase registration and voter drive.
